Longnor and around

Places to go:

-       Buxton  (6 miles). Georgian architecture, Opera House, Pavilion Gardens and  great cafes, restaurants and shops.

-       Leek (8 miles).  Antique shops and Staffordshire Oatcakes.

-       Bakewell (10 miles).  Lovely small shops, ducks on the river and of course, Bakewell Pudding.

And some of our particular favourites:

-       Visit Hartington and pop into the cheese shop for a great selection

-       Park up in the lovely village of Monyash ,with its great pub and café next door and fantastic walks along the Limestone Way.

-       Take a walk at Tittersworth Reservoir . Short and long walks around the waters edge.  Great cafe there for breakfast and lunch

-       Stroll around Eyam -  worth a trip for all is ‘plague’ history.

-       Walk up to Solomans Temple in Buxton.  Park at Pooles Cavern (or on the road in front where its free) and follow the path up to the folly.  Leave the car and wander back into Buxton for some tea and cake in one of its many cafes.
